“LIFE WITHOUT ADVENTURE IS JUST EXISTENCE” - C. AVERY

I have always been interested in the lifestyles, art, and music of other cultures. Years ago I came across Middle Eastern music and drumming, as well as other types of music on a number of occasions through travels and curiosity. I had always been drawn to it, but never took the time to pursue the interest until several years ago. Now that I have started experiencing the music and dance, my passion for it has taken over my musical senses. I teach conventional set drumming, as well as, other types of hand percussion, but my personal passion has become the Middle Eastern drumming utilizing the "Doumbek/Darbuka" and Celtic drumming utilizing the "Irish Bodhran". It would take another lifetime for me to learn these art forms to my satisfaction, but I shall keep trying to absorb as much of these cultural experiences as I can.

Blessed with a multicultural heritage that ethnically endowed me with the gift of the "Drum", I have been allowed to pursue my life path in synch with the rhythm of the universe. Sometimes, a little out of step with the mass consciousness, but always in time with my predestined purpose.

“GREAT SPIRIT TEACHES US THAT IF WE WISH TO CONTROL OUR OWN DESTINY, WE MUST BE ABLE AND WILLING TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY AND CONSEQUENCES FOR OUR ACTIONS AND DECISIONS” - C. AVERY

Thank You for this opportunity to communicate with the wonderful world of "Dance and Music".
